Argan oil is an oil produced from the kernels of the endemic argan tree, that is valued for its nutritive, cosmetic and number medicinal properties. The tree, a relict species from the Tertiary age, is extremely well adapted to drought and other environmentally difficult conditions of the southwestern Moroccos.
Argan oil remains one of the rarest oils in the world due the small and very specific growing area.
Argan oil is exceptionally rich in natural tocopherols (vitamin E), rich in phenols and phenolie acid, rich in carotenes, rich in squalence, rich in essential fatty acids, 80 % unsaturated fatty acids and depending on extraction method more resistant to oxidation than olive oil.

Argan oil contains a special combination of skin caring unsaturated fatty acids which are only found in highest plants and oils, noticeably Oliec acid, Linoleic acid, Palmitic acid, Stearic acid.

Properties and Cosmetic Applications
The portion of phytosterols, which are very seldom found in nature are in a unique composition in Argan Oil. They have an anti-cancer characteristic and are effective in cell stimulation.
Argan oil has also a high concentration of Beta Amyrine (skin protection)Tirucallol (anti allergic sun protection) Lupeol (desinfectant) and Butyrospermol (skin tranquilizer after sun).
