Origin:Brazil.
Tree same family as mahogany. This Oil-rich kernel is traditionally used for soaps or domestic illumination.
The oil content of a nut is averaging 63%.
The oil is rich in stearine and other unsaturated fatty acids. The unsaponifiable matter is up to 5%.
It may become rancid quickly due to the enzymatic reactions of the high acid content (value 10-25%).
The oil is rich in the limmonoid andirobin.
