Grape seed oil is obtained from the seeds of grapes. The dried seeds are pressed and extracted. The crude oil is refined afterwards. It is mainly produced in Mediterranean countries with big volumes of seeds from the vine and raisin production. Properties and Cosmetic Applications Due to its favorable fatty acid composition with abt. 88% unsaturated fatty acids, thereof about 68% Linoleic acid and its easy digestibility good stability, Grape seed oil is highly appreciated for dietetical purposes. For the same reasons, it is also used by the cosmetic industry as a lipid component in many formulations. Packaging and Storage Storage : light protected and not above room temperature, in tightly sealed containers.
