PRESENTATION
Black pepper essential oil is extracted from the plant Piper nigrum of the Piperaceae family. The oil is made from
the unripe red fruit of the plant, while white pepper for household use, is made from the same fruit, but the
berry is picked when fully ripe and the outside layer (pericarp) is removed before drying.
The plant is originated from India, Malaysia, Madagascar, China and Indonesia.
The therapeutic properties of black pepper oil include analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antitoxic, aphrodisiac,
diaphoretic, digestive, diuretic, febrifuge, laxative, rubefacient and tonic (especially of the spleen).

 

PROPERTIES AND COSMETIC APPLICATIONS
Black Pepper is a stimulating, energizing essential oil that has been studied for its effects on cellular oxygenation.
It has been used for smoothing deep tissue muscle aches and pains.When diluted in a carrier oil, black pepper
has been used for chilblains, arthritis, muscular aches and pains, neuralgia, poor circulation, poor muscle tone,
rheumatic pain, sprains, and stiffness. Vaporized, it may aid in fighting colds, flu, coughing, infections and viruses,
catarrh and chills.
Interesting effects happen when it is used in perfume blends.

Warning: Phototoxic. Black Pepper can be a skin irritant in high concentration, so it must be used in moderation.
